Mena Alexandra suvari born February 13, 1979, in America is an actor, fashion designer and a model. In 1990, shortly after beginning her career as a model, Suvari started to act in television programs like Boy Meets World. In 1997 she made her acting debut as a film actor on Nowhere. Following her appearance of American Beauty (for which she received a BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her greater attention, she began the transition to major role. After that, she was in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). In 2002, she appeared in Spun the independent drama and 2004's thriller Trauma. The other films she appeared in include HBO's series Six Feet Under. Her filmography for 2008 included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation to The Garden of Eden and several other movies. Suvari has appeared in many blog and fashion publications and blogs, such as Vogue. She is also a Lancome model as well as appearing in ads in print of Lancome Paris Adaptive. She has long been an advocate and supporter for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
